When are the best times to wash our hands?
¨ Before eating or touching food. ¨ After using the bathroom. ¨ After blowing your nose or coughing. ¨ After touching pets or other animals. ¨ After playing outside. ¨ After visiting a sick friend or relative.

Ways to get rid of head lice and nits include applying anti-lice medication. A special comb could be used to get out the eggs or your fingernails also work well. Please let your parent (s) or guardian know you have head lice. Let the school nurse know you have head lice. Wash combs, brushes, hats, bedding, stuffed toys, school bags, coats with hoods, clothing and etc. in hot water. Thoroughly vacuum floors, furniture, carpets, car seats and head rests. Discard vacuum bags immediately.
Head lice is hard to get rid of. A second application of anti-lice medication will be needed. Follow the instructions on the box. Please be patient and ask for help. Lice have been around since the beginning of written history - they know no socioeconomic boundaries. Don’t be embarrassed to ask for help and advice. First you need to know that if your child gets lice, it does not mean that he or she is the source. Second, reporting it immediately to stop it from spreading to another child, is important in combating them in the school setting. Together we can ensure a healthy school year.
Dandruff Dandruff comes from an oily, not dry scalp. Use a special formulated shampoo to help control dandruff. Examples: Head and Shoulders, Pert Plus, Tegrin. |
