One of the most exciting places in the world for a child is the gym. The goal of our Physical Education program is to provide a fun learning environment that will teach children the importance of physical activity and exercise. Children will be exposed to a variety of activities that teach the basics of team and individual sports. Students will learn the importance of respecting others, how to work together, and the value of sportsmanship.
Some of the units we cover are: fitness, soccer, jump rope, cooperative activities, and recreational sports.
Please make sure your child is prepared on the days they have physical education.
For students grades K-3 - Clothing should be loose fitting and sneakers with rubber soles should be worn.
Students in Grade 4 and 5 will use the locker room to change clothing and keep Physical Education clothes in their lockers.
For all students— Jewelry must be taken off. |
|
Tip : On some art days—Smocks are needed. Have a smock in your classroom for when they are needed. |
