EAST
Sachem
HS East is one of the newest building additions to the Sachem
Central School District. The result of a four-year district-wide
reconfiguration effort, Sachem East opened its doors to
students in September 2004. It is one of two high schools
in Sachem and it is located on Long Island approximately
sixty miles east of New York City. Our current student enrollment
is in excess of 2,600 students and full time faculty and
staff number approximately 300 individuals. For additional

At 403,000 square feet, Sachem East’s
construction was a major undertaking. Pictures from our
construction phase are below and we hope that they will
provide you with a sense of what it took to make the vision
of Sachem East become a reality.
