Sachem High School East business students engaged in hands-on learning in William Ward’s class during a recent visit from mindSHIFT Senior Manager for Human Resources, Janelle Alberigo.

To begin the special visit, Alberigo explained the role of someone who works in human resources, the career path she followed and the versatility of the position she holds today. With the guidance of Alberigo, students participated in mock interviews in which they pretended to be a human resources manager. They received bad interview calls and calls in which the interviewee was well prepared. Throughout the informative, hands-on activity, students gained insight into this and other aspects of the human resources profession.
