Sachem Board of Education Recognizes Incredible Student-Athletes thumbnail182496
At the most recent meeting of the Sachem Central School District Board of Education, 11 incredible student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding performance and dedication to academics and athletics in their respective sports.

Among the students recognized by the Board included Sachem High School East students Briella Russo, who received Newsday All-Long Island second team honors in cheerleading; Ashley Pavan, who was named All-League, All-Conference and All-County in basketball; and Mackenzie Szlosek, who earned All-Academic, All-League, All-Conference and All-County honors in basketball. From Sachem High School North, Grace Calabria received All-County and Newsday All-Long Island first team recognition in cheerleading; Kennadie Hallum received All-League, All-Conference and All-County recognition in basketball and Jenna Lo Cascio earned All-County and Newsday All-Long Island second team honors in cheerleading.

In addition, Francis Anderson, Quin Honan, Christopher Varrichio and Brandon Wone earned All-League and All-County recognition in swimming, and Emily Kulkarni received All-League and Newsday All-Long Island team honors in bowling.
