Under state law and district policy, sexual relationships and sexual harassment between students and staff members are illegal and can result in criminal and civil penalties. Sexual harassment and relationships between students and staff often begin with innocent flirtations. Innocent flirtations can leave a staff member vulnerable to baseless accusations.
