Application for Non-Instructional Personnel
If interested in employment, please either stop by District
Office to pick up an application for non-instructional employees or download the application here.
The application should be mailed to the Personnel Office or dropped off at
District Office. Completing an application does not guarantee
employment; the Personnel Office will contact you if you will be
considered for an interview.

Non-Instructional Personnel are the backbone of the
Sachem Central School District. Non-instructional personnel are
under the jurisdiction of Civil Service through competitive,
non-competitive, exempt and labor classifications. There are
specific rules for each position; the Civil Service Website offers a
wealth of information to assist you. Please note that there are
specific times for competitive tests to be administered; if you are
considering competitive employment you must take the next available
examination.
There are full and part time positions available.
Many current full time employees started out as substitute employees at
first - especially nurses, custodians, clerical, aides, and food service
workers. If you are interested in becoming a full time employee, it
might be in worthwhile to consider substitute work at first. Simply
indicate that you are interested in substitute work when you pick up the
application.
