As
a school district, it is our responsibility to provide for the educational
needs of all our children. We have an obligation to identify those students who
have specialized needs because they are gifted. These gifted youngsters benefit
from the regular program, but a commitment to a more diverse instructional
program is necessary to help them achieve the high performance of which they
are capable. Only through a differentiated educational program will these
children acquire the learning skills and logical thought processes necessary
for them to realize their full potential.
