This site is a favorite of parents and teachers! Word World is a PBS show where “words come alive.” The site features e-books that allow children to follow along with the story, word games and other fun word play.

  • FunBrain.com
A great site for kids in grades 3-5. Kids can make lists on-line, participate in blogs, read some of their favorite titles (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Brewster Rocket, Amelia Writes Again, etc.) as web books, play literacy games and much more.
  • Wimpykid.com
A favorite series this year...learn more about the author, read blogs and upcoming news.
  • Scholastic offers activities and ideas for students of all grade levels. This year’s theme, Summer Reading Buzz allows young people to track their summer reading on the Reader Meter, which translates to books donated to others in need.
