Welcome to the Sachem Central School District. We are a large suburban school district located fifty miles east of New York City on Long Island. Our student population of over 15,000 students is housed in twelve K-5 elementary schools, four 6-8 middle schools, and two 9-12 high schools. Over the years, Sachem has built a strong reputation for the quality of our educational program delivered in a tax sensitive manner.
At Sachem, we pride ourselves on the positive relationship we have with our community. The dedication of our Board of Education and staff have resulted in a district known for high standards, quality academic programs, and safe and secure schools.
